I have been practicing reflexology, amongst other therapies, for over 15 years and have benefited from these techniques myself as well as members of my family.
Since I discovered reflexology from Indian practitioners I have been fascinated by its healing capacity and efficiency. This is the reason why I aim to develop its success in France by helping you find physical and emotional well-being.
Initially trained in the UK ( Bayly School of Reflexology), I then gained experience in the townships in Kenya (Kibera) where I witnessed the concrete positive results this therapy had on a population in need of treatments.
These years of experience have confirmed my initial convictions about the healing capacity of reflexology for various ailments.
This can be achieved by simply opening the concerned energy zones, which can be blocked by stress and toxins, and by helping the body with its natural healing power.
Back in France since a few years, my motivation to share my experience is based on my passion for the well-being of individuals.
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is an ancient Chinese medical practice similar to Acupuncture, but without needles.
They are both based on the same principle: a vital energy (Chi) circulates within us to help us stay healthy, but when there is too much stress or toxins, this energy gets blocked in some parts of the body. This is reflected on the feet, hands, and ears where each organ is represented.
The reflexologists intervenes by touching these tense points, which will bring immediate relief and allow your body to regain its balance without any side effects.
Whilst toxins are eliminated, reflexology will boost the circulatory and lymphatic systems as well as your energy levels.
Reflexology improves nerve and blood supply
Since approximately 75% of today diseases are attributed to stress and tension, various body systems are affected in different ways and to various degrees. One person may exhibit cardiovascular problems, another gastrointestinal upset, headaches, constipation…
In order to keep the body at a normal balance, it is important that blood and nerve supply to every organ and gland be at a maximum.
Of course, the organs and glands contribute to the overall wellbeing of the body but all receive their instructions from the nerves which convey impulses between a part of the central nervous system and other regions of the body. Problems are caused by tension putting pressure on vital nerves supplying a vital organ. As tension is eased, pressure on the nerves and vessels is relaxed, thus improving the flow of blood and oxygen to all parts of the body.
Reflexology embodies the relationship of the reflexes in the feet to all of the glands and organs in the body.
The zones are like the wiring in a house, the reflexes travel through the zones similar to electricity through the wires. The link from the feet to the organs and glands in the body is a series of imaginary longitudinal lines similar to meridians that are called zones.
There are ten lines or zones, one for each finger, one for each toe. These zones run the entire length of the body, from the top of the head to the tips of the toes. Therefore an organ or a gland found in a specific zone will have its reflex in the corresponding zone in the foot, and abnormality in any part of the zone may affect anything within that zone. It is evident then that by working the entire foot, you are affecting the entire body, the right foot representing the right half of the body, the left foot representing the left half of the body.
Who can benefit from reflexology?
Anyone can benefit from reflexology ! It is a safe, natural therapy without side effects and can be used as a way of relaxing, balancing and harmonizing the body .
